Making Money Online and the Boldness of Some Marketers

I went to visit one of my favorite blogger's websites today, and they changed their blog and it looks great, however, to my dismay they now have a button that you can select to book time with them, however it cost an absurd amount of money.

I genuinely understand the value of time, however if I have to pay before the value is established then chances are that person will not receive a payment from me. In my opinion, it's different if the person builds themselves up to be a real coach, and are going to take you to school with a plan of action and a series of information that will result in helping to add to your bottom line, then any fee would be justified, however to attempt to charge me just to have a conversation is a bit over the top, for me.

Now according to this site, if you join their team, then by all means, you can get all the 'free' consulting they can stand to give. This suggests to join their MLM and then I will find you valuable enough to share my time with for free, if you don't, then I have to charge you for my time.

On one hand its smart marketing, especially for the person who has been sitting on the fence trying to decide if this is the right business opportunity to be a part of. However for those who are new their 'blog', it might not be the best approach.

A better approach, in my opinion, would be to hold a weekly webinar or teleconference call and have everyone pay $5 or $10 - I even saw one powerful internet marketing couple charge $1 measly dollar... however in retrospect the lines hold up 1,000 people. If they are successful in packing out the house - guess what - they just made $1,000 for the hour. How many calls can they do in a month? You be the judge. As I have suggested in many of my post and articles.

There are a tremendous amount of many exceptional ways to make money online, the key is in finding what resonates with your core values and your desires. If you do anything for money alone, it will never work. Find out what you are passionate about. Link up with a mentor, someone who sees the value in your before, after and during the make up of the relationship.
