People String is a new social networking site that claims they will pay people to check their email, surf the net, etc. However, we have seen many companies come and go that claim to be free and will allow individuals to benefit from their services. However, I must admit, this one is somewhat different, and I never thought the ability to be able to get paid to simply check my email and visit facebook, twitter, myspace and etc., would be an option. They even have this cool game where you can spend daily and have an opportunity to win money or gain things thing called people points that may turn into money later. Either way it was fun spinning the wheel.

Even so, even without all of the bells and whistles from the moment I began researching this concept, I was excited about the possibilities. I always like FREE service, and if i can get paid doing things I already do, then that is also a plus. What impressed me the most about this 'free' service is that that they have a very high Alexa ranking of around 750 and that is extremely good for a company just over a year or so old. An Alexa Ranking is a third party that does independent studies of websites and they rank the growth and potential of all websites. Being in the top 500 puts you in a great position especially for advertising purposes. My understanding is that it took Google about 4 or 5 years to get to the rank where People String is today. Understanding the internet arena as well as I do, I was really surprised that I had never heard of them previously. However, it is still very much a new company, and is just now starting to take of and go viral. According to some experts, People String may actually have a chance of replacing Google as number one. Personally, I am not sure if i agree with that prediction, however I will say this: "People String does actually pays people to surf Google and check their email and visit social networking sites, and that is very exciting for many people.

I watched an example that demonstrated how if a person were to share this with just 5 people and they in turn did the same, checks with commas in them could be generated on a residual bases... just for opening emails, and junk maii, and surfing the net. People string is able to provide these incentives through a process known as revenue or profit sharing. The more people they have viewing their site or are engaged in their site - which is one of the reasons for the games and being able to connect with twitter, MySpace, Facebook, Google, etc... the higher their Alexa Rankings, and the higher their rankings, the more valuable their ad space becomes and advertisers will purchase much ad space from them. and People String in turn shares the profits with their members. Ingenious I believe. This is a free service, however there is a paid component where you can pay $200 and become what they call an entrepreneur, however, that is not a must in order to benefit. That is a decision for the more business minded individual. There are only five thousand slots available and after May 16, 2010 that window will be shut. However free is forever.

In my humble opinion, this service is a no brainer. The cost is FREE the risk for those lucky enough to become an entrepreneur is extremely minimal.
