Burglaries and property violations are increasing day by day in United States. In fact, a burglary incident occurs every fifteen seconds in this country. Using home security alarms best protects this kind of theft. Recently a research has been conducted where it proved that owning a home alarm system makes a home 3-4 times less likely to be burglarized. The burglars and thieves usually prefer robbing a house that does not have any security alarm system installed. You would surely not want to be a victim of a burglary incident in US! So, install a home alarm system fast!
There are two kinds of home alarms available in the market. Monitored security system, which is used by most of the Americans and the unmonitored system. In a monitored system, a private company is basically bestowed with the responsibility of watching the home alarm system all through the day. If something unusual happens, it immediately sends an alarm signal through the phone line. Once the signal is received, the company makes a call to your house to see if everything is fine. However, if there is no one to answer the call or an incorrect password is provided, then the nearby police station is immediately alerted about the situation.
In an unmonitored system, there is no such private company that provides vigilance service. You completely need to rely upon your neighbors because this kind of home security system features on-site sirens and flashlights, which get activated whenever there is a break-in. So, whenever such unusual noise occurs, it is to be your neighbors who need to inform the police about the situation.
However, installing a home alarm system doesn’t take quite long. It can be set up within an hour. After being installed, it will work for months. But it needs to be periodically tested in order to make sure whether everything works fine or not. It can even work when there is a power cut. Home alarms are generally equipped with a battery and that keeps them running all through the day. With the installation of any of these systems, you can remain assured of keeping your house free from burglaries.
Very often in United States you will hear your neighbors or relatives being cheated by door-to-door sales representatives. These sales people are basically under high pressure for selling their products. So, these people usually tell many such things about the products or their services, which are originally not provided by them. For instance, there are many sales representatives who will not tell you anything about the hidden fees. You will only come to know about it after you sign up for their service. There are also many sales people who will quote one specific rate while convincing you to buy the product and then later on raise the rate after you sign up for the service. Most of the sales representatives will also not explain the fact they outsource the monitoring to another home security alarm company.
