It is fair to say that in recent times, something as simple as chucking something away is no longer as easy as doing just that. Modern recycling regulations dictate that we are now expected to recycle almost everything. Nearly all products and packaging materials are now being made so that they can be recycled but it's not always as easy as that. There's a blue bin and a green bin and a brown bin…this goes in here, that goes in there…not only can things get very confusing but it can take up a huge amount of space trying to keep everything separate. So it's not only important for us to have a good kitchen waste bins but one that meets our needs for space saving, hygiene and practicality when it come so separating different types of waste.
So what's available to me?
From free standing bins to pull out bins, product design within the industry has had to evolve. For those of us who are interested in kitchen design, a dynamic retro bin, a contemporary art-deco bin or a coloured bin can add brightness and character to your kitchen. For the family home, nappy bins, children and dog friendly bins and food waste bins have all been developed to keep your kitchen clean and safe.
It's not all about hygiene and practicality though. One factor that plays a massive role for allot of people is the space factor and there is now a huge range of pull out bins available to us. A forgotten classic, the swivel or swing out bin! It's obviously not suitable for all types of waste but is a very effective way of storing waste in any kitchen or bathroom cupboard. Highly organised compact bin systems can be installed into virtually any large kitchen or commercial draw. Ideal for busy offices and homes with big families, a bin such as this offers a combination or plastic and basket bins in one which is ideal for any place where allot of rubbish is accumulated on a daily basis.
Large swing out units containing as many as 4 separate colour coded bins can save space and time when dividing waste into types. It's hygienic, discreet and the lids of each bin remain inside the cupboard. A quick easy and convenient way to store and arrange your rubbish and recycling. There are even pull out kitchen bins that make use of lids which double up as shelves, making it easy to store cleaning product, spare bin bags and the likes.
In brief, kitchen bins have become an essential part of any kitchen and with the ever growing need to divide waste in to recyclable, non-recyclable, food waste and more, it's very helpful to know what's out there.
