Australian Football League (AFL), the most popular Australian national competition in the sport of Australian rules football, is at present approaching towards the Finals.
Already 21 rounds of matches out of Preliminary 22 rounds in 2006 Australian Football League (AFL) have been completed. The 2006 Football League matches had started from the late March this year and supposed to be completed by 1st week of September 2006.

The team Collingwood Magpies was trying earnestly to chase a spot in the AFL's top four. However, they were saved from a defeat thanks to two late goals from Nathan Buckley. Ultimately, after the 21st Round, they were relegated to the 6th Position in the Ladder.
The bottom most three teams in the Ladder are Kangaroos with 28 Points, Essendon Bombers with 14 Points and the Carlton Blues with 14 Points.
The Ladder positions at the Top of the Table are not expected to change much even after the 22nd Round.
The 2006 AFL matches in the 22nd Round will start from 1st September, Friday in which Western Bulldogs will face Essendon.
The remaining matches in the 22nd Round will be played on Saturday the 2nd September and the 3rd September 2006 and the preliminary round matches will be completed in this way.
We are anxiously waiting for the final Ladder Positions after the completion of the Preliminary Round matches and the craze for Football betting is at its peak at present.
From the second week of September the final round matches have been scheduled in which the Qualifying Final Matches will be played on 8th, 9th and 10th September.
The Semi final matches will be played on 15th and 16th September and the Grand Final which is the Premiership Match will be played on 30th September.
