Radiators are essentially heat exchangers. They transfer thermal energy from one place to another to assist with both heating and cooling. They are almost always found used in builders, cars, and electronics. Temperature control is needed in all of these places, and so radiators are an essential part of our everyday technology.

There are several parts that are used in most radiators. Generally speaking, the term "radiator" refers to devices in which liquid goes through a series of exposed pipes; these devices transfer heat through a term called "convection", in which heat is transferred through thermal radiation. There are many ways to tell if your home radiator isn’t working. The most obvious way will be that the temperature is not where you have set it to be, or if there is a buzzing sound or burning smell. Here are some ways to tell what’s wrong with your home radiator:

First you need to find out if it is just your one radiator, or if it is a system-wide problem. Check out the other radiators in your home or building to make sure they are not experiencing difficulties. If they are, you might need to call in a repairman to fix a system-wide error.

You need to check the radiator’s inlet valve. If the radiator is cool, but all the leading pipes toward it appear to be tilted at normal angles, then the problem probably lies with the inlet valve. If the top of your radiator is cool, but the inner parts have hot and cold spots, then it is probably a problem with air being trapped in the system.

Regardless of the problems you find, it will be difficult to actually fix them yourself, and is best to call in a professional repairman. If it is beyond repair, or if the cost of the repairs are astronomical, it will be best to search for reasonably priced radiators for sale to make sure that your home can be just the temperature you want it to be.
