American Tinnitus Association is mostly valuable to people living in the United States of America, seeing that all the physicians, support groups etc that they suggest are based there.

The chief objective of the American Tinnitus Association is to raise funds for Tinnitus research and hence is always looking for people to give money to the Association. The majority of the tips the American Tinnitus Association provide to non-members are similar to what you can discover in numerous other free articles on the Internet.

The American Tinnitus Association write that there's no cure for Tinnitus, yet, in my own research I have discovered an ex Tinnitus sufferer. He landed a method of curing his own Tinnitus and is keen to share what he has discovered!

I do agree with the American Tinnitus Association "Tips for Managing Tinnitus"; such as the following:

Tip 1; According to the American Tinnitus Association most often Tinnitus isn't an indication of a life-threatening medical illness, so do not get distressed needlessly.

Tip 2; Visit your GP. If your general practitioner isn't familiar with Tinnitus causes and cures, the American Tinnitus Association suggests that you request to be sent to an expert (such as an ENT with experience in Tinnitus treatment). By the way, ENT stands for "ear, nose and throat". Frequently the cause of your Tinnitus can be discovered in one of those places.

Tip three; When you're chatting with your GP; make sure you let him or her know about all the medicines you take daily. This is extremely important as (according to the American Tinnitus Association) some pills are recongnized to cause Tinnitus as a side-effect.

Tip 4; After you have had a complete medical examination and your GP and/or Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist has been unable to diagnose the origin of your Tinnitus, don't quit. Regardless of what the American Tinnitus Association says, I believe there is a cure for Tinnitus

Tip five; It is up to you (not the American Tinnitus Association) to discover what causes your Tinnitus. The 3 most common causes are Inner Ear Nerve Damage; Chronic Sinusitis, and High levels of Stress and/or Anxiety

Tip six; Keep researching and educating yourself, and everyone you know about Tinnitus, but make sure that you find your information from reputable sources like the American Tinnitus Association and ex Tinnitus sufferers.

Tip seven; It is accepted that drinking alcohol makes Tinnitus worse, so stay away from any alcoholic beverages as much as you can.

Tip eight; Injury to the Inner Ear is brought about by prolonged exposure to extremely loud music or noise (your ears can't differentiate between the two!). According to the American Tinnitus Association, it makes sense to avoid further damage by keeping your music volume soft and protecting yourself from loud noise by using earplugs.

Tip 9; Don't quit! Occasionally a treatment won't start working immediately.

Tip ten; The American Tinnitus Association in addition recommends that you attempt to keep constructive outlook and do everything you can to cut down stress in your life.

As recommended by the American Tinnitus Association "....get your information from reputable sources". What source is more reputable than an ex Tinnitus sufferer? Go to http://www.tinnituscureone.com/ where you will find the reprieve you are looking for!
