All though, carpet cleaners have been around for quite some time there are many families who still depend on normal vacuum cleaners for cleaning up their carpeted halls, stairs, and kitchens. The technology may work, but they aren’t recommended anymore.
Carpet cleaners are special cleaning devices that are customized to clean fabrics. They are meant for cleaning carpets and upholsteries. Many people use their carpets for years on end without washing or replacing them. They vacuum clean the surface as well as the dust underneath the carpet. But most of them ignore the stains and debris caught within the carpet. Most of the carpets are shaded with dark designs and patterns that do not easily highlight the stains and marks left by dirt and spillages. This is one of the main reasons that encourage people to ignore thorough carpet cleaning.
However, more and more people are now becoming aware of the ill effects of using an unclean carpet in their home. The microscopic fibers, with which the carpet is woven, dislodge over time and get dispersed into the atmosphere in the form of tiny strands and specks. These fibers carry dust, bacteria, harmful molds and fungus. Even though it doesn’t carry any living organism, the fiber in itself is capable of acting as an active allergen. Allergens are elements that cause irritation within our body when our body comes in contact with them or absorbs them while breathing. Thus the body starts reacting back and the phenomenon is known as allergic reaction. People who are prone to respiratory diseases and asthma are the easy targets for such allergens. Apart from respiratory diseases, contaminated fabrics can cause skin reactions like itching, inflammation and rash. This is true especially in case of babies and toddlers whose skin often comes in direct contact with the carpets and upholsteries in a house.
Normal vacuum cleaners are not capable of removing stains and odors. They can only suck in the dust particles stuck on the carpet surface. The stains resulting from spillage of foodstuffs give rise to a typical odor. This reduces the overall freshness levels of the room. Carpet cleaners can remove the stain as well as the odor because they make use of powerful detergents and cleaning solution that act as powerful cleansers on these fabrics. The chemicals react with the stains and dirt killing the bacteria and germs thriving on them. Besides, carpet shampoos, these cleaners employ powerful steam cleansing system that melts out toughest of the stains. However, steam technology is not integrated in all the carpet cleaners. It is available as a different variety of cleaners which comes under the expensive lot.
Thus, it is highly recommended that you should adopt a cleaning system that renders the fabrics laid on your floors, furnitures and steps free of dust and other contaminants. So, if you wish to enjoy a hygienic and fresh subsistence, do not ignore your carpets. They are as important as any other part of your interior.
