Homes for sale in Las Vegas are plentiful. Homes for sale by owners in Las Vegas are not as well advertised, but they’re out there. Deciding to sell your own home is not as difficult as some believe. There are a plethora of how-to books and articles designed for the owner who wants to eliminate the need for a real estate agent and proceed with the handling of the sale themselves. It’s okay. It’s being done more and more with great success. Following is a list of tips to help get you started in getting your home ready for the market.
- Make it brighter! Make it lighter! An easy economical fix in preparing to sell your home. This can help to make rooms look bigger, and the right lighting can add softness to a cozy family room.

Clean windows inside and out.

Open all shades and curtains during a showing. The more natural light the better.

Clean light fixtures and light switches.

Polish any glass or brass items.

Replace any damaged window treatments.

Prune any trees or shrubs that prevent natural light from coming in.

Make sure windows are working properly and can be easily opened.
